Juniors lose 17-13 In Quarter Finals NI Cup

Juniors lose 17-13 to St Paul’s Bessbrook

A hard fought out match, with a very close score in the end.

In the first quarter St Paul’s took the lead and despite great efforts from Zara and Hannah the first quarter was left at 4-1 to St Pauls.

In the second quarter we were starting to find our feet, with Nadia and Emily between them scoring 4 more goals with good work from Alex to get the ball to the circle. Unfortunately St Paul’s scored 4 more goals also leaving the second quarter at 8-5.

The third quarter was a tough one, coming so close to so many goals and having several good interceptions from Zeta we weren’t able to just quite take the lead. St Paul’s scores 7 more goals while we only scored 5 more leaving the third quarter 15-10 to St Paul’s.

The last quarter was very full on. With both teams coming so close to goals and then getting intercepted. Despite our efforts the final score was left at 17-13 to St Paul’s.

Hard luck girls and all the best for your semi-final in the NI shield. Also well done to the player of the match, Nadia!!
